the morning. There I was just days in working for Perth Glory and we were about to
board a flight to Singapore to play Johor Darul Ta’zim in official
international pre-season friendly at Larkin Stadium in 3 days time.

Current Melbourne City skipper Scott Jamieson, Brandon O’Neill
who plays for Buriram United FC in Thailand, Socceroo and Western United right
back Josh Risdon and Chris Harold were the ‘first’ group of players who self-introduced
themselves to me. I will never forget their warmth and inviting me to be part
of the team.

Although the first three players mentioned have continued to
excel in the careers till today, this article is dedicated to Chris Harold,
personally I think he is the real MVP.

Despite, eventually becoming one of the most senior Perth
Glory player before retiring last year, just days ago he was admitted into the Supreme
Court of Western Australia (as a lawyer).

Yes, that’s right. It may have taken him almost a decade but he
decided to study law during his professional playing days has completely paid
off.

Chris Harold. assignments during the week is not for everyone obviously but he managed 143 appearances
and score 21 goals for Glory while doing both.

The debate about pursuing an education while playing surfaces from
time to time but usually if a lucrative playing offer does come by most times
the contract is signed as according to scouts apparently these offers don’t come that often or after you get a degree.

Fast forward to today, I’ve just opened my own sports agency
and a father of 2 wonderful kids. As much as I would like to see them become
professional athletes, with my Malaysian upbringing I want them to become
university graduates.

However, the opportunity cost of either choice is something
I wish they would not regret for the rest of their lives.

Chris however, has given me, as a parent the opportunity to
show my kids a role model where achieving both is not impossible. In fact, they
should follow his footsteps. Last night's dinner topic was Chris Harold.

Giving this (example) to parents especially is priceless, Chris – so I
say THANK YOU. If there are other parents who feel the same, I represent them
too.

On top of studying while juggling a professional career,
Chris also remained one of the most humble and modest character in Glory and
possibly in the A-League. Not a step or word out of line. In fact, when he did
open his mouth was because of his concern of climate change. What a legend!

If you want to see this speedy solicitor still in action, he
now plays for ECU Joondalup in the NPL under former Perth Glory boss Kenny Lowe,

The English Premier League has been forced to postpone games due to Covid-19.

Most of the professional leagues are forced to be nimble, flexible and have to react quickly in a bid to complete their respective seasons.

If it’s that difficult, why not just cancel the league?

The sentiments and interests of the stakeholders must be taken into account. In well-governed and organised leagues, the importance of pleasing the sponsors supersedes the idea of cancelling the season.

These stakeholders are not your ticket holders or fans who purchase your merchandise. This is 2021 and the stakeholders of today are the broadcasters, betting sites, eSports companies and e-commerce entities, among others.

The new normal has seen matches played in empty stadiums. The leagues continue because millions of dollars are being pumped into the sport as the live broadcast can be sold.

The same cannot be said in Malaysia, home of the M-League. History has documented the series of fumbles when it comes to Malaysian football. And today, the guardians of the league still cannot beam matches consistently without inviting a scandal.

But for a handful of clubs, no other team bothered to set up a database of fans.

It also remains to be seen if the 2021 M-League season will begin on schedule due to the spike in Covid-19 cases.

So where are we headed to?

Is the organiser of the league prepared to change matches, venues and kick-off times? Are the teams willing to play matches early in the morning or evening?

Can the players and officials assure the authorities they will not sneak out of camp should a sports bubble concept be applied?

And the most important question of all, will salary be paid on time?

Top leagues in the world and even the mega Olympics were crippled by Covid-19. So how ready is Malaysia? Is the Malaysian football scene ready to handle a year (or maybe more) of uncertainty?

If we can sort this out, we then need to start working on databases of fans – something I have been harping about for some time.

There are ways to work around the pandemic to ensure continuity in sports. But as long as those helming the football teams flex their power and influence to only spend on today and disregard the stakeholders, there will not be any form of stability in the long run.

Here’s a gentle reminder – no matter how powerful or rich one is, he or she is no match for the mighty coronavirus.

So it’s best for the administrators to start thinking ahead and embrace the right stakeholders in a bid to survive this pandemic and stay alive.
Ghaz Ramlihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05443572105092574798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7213222817047688690.post-46064173354189892802021-01-04T21:52:00.000+08:002021-01-04T21:55:18.697+08:00GZ Sports is ready for another year

coaches and officials actually adhere to this ? Over here in Perth, my amateur club
was allowed to return to training 3 weeks ago but with a cap of 20 people. No
heading, no game simulation and of course no touching was allowed. However, training
on a cold, rainy winter’s night in the middle of the park with no one in-sight,
we could have easily played a 10 v 10. But as a club, if the council were to
catch us doing so, the team, which is a registered club, could be fined up to AUD20,000.
Which was of course not worth it. Now, I’m not implying that our M-League clubs
will not follow the rules but it (strictly no game) has to be something not
needed to be explained at every training session until more restrictions are eased.
Players can get frustrated when the adrenaline kicks-in and may not think
rationally at the time, which may not be intentionally as the game is their
passion. Trust me, even as a social player, it was very frustrating.

No point bringing the best together to train long balls when that’s what we
want to curb. More importantly, allow them to be part of the club in hope of
motivating their teammates to get back into the teams’ tempo and groove of
things. For those without a team, who played abroad, then maybe Kelana Jaya can
decide a programme for them.

This article is about football training in a holistic view. Besides the pros, the bulk of players in
Malaysia are made of social and amateurs. It is safe to say, the mushroom of junior

reason they are in the starting XI. A lot would hate to practice and develop a bond

When the restrictions eases, the social players, the fans, the people within

of a player and the team. If you never did it (train) when things were normal?

The emotionally driven decision to cut LTK was childish. Yes, they failed, and
a review is needed, and a sacking may be a decision but did Side Saakdik and

there no plans if they didn’t ??? Certainly, seemed like it cause it only took

kids and eager parents. Out of thousands and thousands of kids maybe one star
is born. It’s a numbers game. So to make it look cool NSFW had the power and
means to make it big. Base in Europe la, academy in Gampang la, big salaries

As for the CEO resigning, I think that was cowardly of him.
So poor it makes Arul Kanda look good. You faced all the obstacles that came at
you but you give up when it really mattered. Now, you are no one and although
the truth may hurt it is true. All the well wishes wanting you at helm or the
programme to stay at it is means as much as online petitions – NOTHING.

know about it, you only started working
and you only got the post because you stood by them through thick and
thin, dear Mr Politician.

<span style="font-family: "arial" , sans-serif;">I<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> think the real shock yesterday was 8k people attended based
on a Twitter post I saw (if its true). That’s on Thursday afternoon. I think
that just shows potential. But was there a data grab ? No. This swell in crowd
will never happen again unless we play Indonesia and they get a bigger attendance
etc . Also I’m sure its ‘hell with coverage’ from the local outlets on the
tournament as Malaysia is out. This takpa attitude with ticketing and
crowd is my biggest pet peeve. Just get so angry! Haha<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">
In a totally unrelated topic, the Malaysia Cup reaching the end, I would like

Today, we are talking about how the media is the only working wheel helping crowd attendance to Malaysian football
league matches.

Click at the link below. There is 5 months left in the year
to 2019 just days ago we were upset with Matt Davies, who is working hard for
the Malaysia Cup instead of being part of the Asian Games football squad.

From hero to villain, Davies, who is also Pahang's captain
is not going to the media urging for fans to come watch Pahang play after
bagging the FA Cup but he and his squad are working hard to win thus forcing
the fans attend and show support. Like it or not, Malaysian will only support
their team if they are winning. Nowadays, Malaysians also like to support teams
that can beat JDT.

Interestingly, not all take the daring step of working hard to promote attendance. When teams do
not get the attendance they hoped for, they write something in the media be it
traditional or social.

Jurulatih, presiden, kapten minta penyokong hadir bla bla
bla...as much as the media companies support, it has never been proven that it
is a winning formula so how does this translate to controllable sale of
tickets? It just amazes me but then I realised only the sports media are the ones doing
all the work.

If you look at the link, this is the future of the game. It
ensures both the ease of entry while encouraging merchandise sale and it does not involve the media. The experts
are also working on bio-metrics for the sale of beverages especially beer at
games as well. Although that is something not feasible in Malaysia, it is pure
genius to increase at game sales as consumers are emotionally driven purchasers.

Leagues such as the Australia Football League (AFL) evolve progressively and make
careful business decisions, invest in feasibility studies and do trials and

someone Malaysia would straight dive into it and have backing from Datuks,
politicians and you know who. I had a twitter conversation with a big local

As mentioned earlier, only one thing in Malaysian football

rakyat would be happy too as is the league can be a better organised number one past-time of the country.

We can do it with Hantu Kak Limah which has broken records in ticket sales so if we only organised
things better and make it important to yourself and the people.
What I mean is there is no proper work done by teams to directly hit their fans and communities instead of hoping for media assistance all the time and that without any media budget of course and not even ensuring at least there is a media person in charge.

We already have few 'half' Malaysian players in the squad and
the now, with the ‘possibility’ of a few naturalised players added, we could probably
qualify for the Asian Cup, fight till the final round of the World Cup

world ranking and maybe see some of our players compete in the big leagues. All
of this in the next few years.
Dear Malaysians, I won’t go back to the pre-Merdeka days but
do you remember the time Altantuya Shaariibuu was blown up into a million pieces?
Remember the time when RM2.6 billion was donated to a certain someone, remember
all the hell went through five years ago when BN won the general elections with
tricks that have not been heard of and the possible assistance by Cambridge
Analytica? Do you remember dear Malaysians?

Then came the day when we won the election. We beat the
mighty powerful with heart and spirit which is another amazing tale of David
overcoming Goliath.

There is no short cut to success. Money cannot buy
happiness. It is a long hard road to the top.

We surely can’t get any worse from here. Our football is a
joke and the only way we can go is up. Why not use this time to build or
re-build? Not build for the short term but for the next generation. If you are
a young adult, your child will be the ones we need to take care off today. They
are the ones that will then create the next generation of champions.

After years of being in the sports industry, I am now with
an organisation that is re-building. The first for me, to be honest. Allow me
to share with you what that means. It means, that we got to take the positives
from the negatives, we got to be patience, we got to be confident, we got to be
hard-working and most importantly, we got to persevere.

If we allow ourselves to stop calling each other by racist
names or look at migrants as if they are animals than we already have a great
pool of people to work with without bringing in more people.

You want the best of big sporting nations but why can’t we
use the generations of Indonesians, Bangladeshis, Myanmar nationals or
Nigerians we have now? Although some of them have been here for decades. You
know why because you think you are better than them.

The Malays still call the Indians by the K word , the
Chinese are still called by the B word and the Melayus are referred by the
other B word. Collectively all Malaysians still look down at the foreign
migrants believing that they are just there to serve you like your servants and
maids.

You however, want the best European, African, Australian,
American or whoever to represent you because they must be great at what they
do. If they are the best, why are they not representing their country? France
won the World Cup not because more than half of the squad from Africa they were
all French from different heritage. Again, they were all French, body, mind and
spirit spoke one language to each other.

I rather we lose and build from today so we create champion
minded people rather than win the World Cup overnight and never really tried to
make Malaysia a better country. Our character is still not defined as a whole
and how many years has it been since we gained independence ? P Ramlee movies
shows we were more Malaysian and modern then then we are now.

Imagine if you had a mindset that you cannot give up, strong
and motivated. Every Malaysian would eat healthier, be more educated regardless
of financial background, wiser thus contributing to a better economy and social
development and possibly acknowledged for our contribution to arts on the
international platform.

With all of this we would all live in harmony and eager to
improve because Malaysians would be naturally stronger mentally and psychically.
Then we start moulding champs and then we see results. This takes time but we
have time. What we don’t have is a plan with a vision or mission. Until we do, everything is going to be a quick fix. Nothing concrete. You got to trust the process. Believe in it.

So, the position comes with an endless list of things to be
done. You can’t really put down a number on it but whatever you do put down,
triple it. To change, to implement and to eradicate among others will be
actions you would will need to manoeuvre between the old warlords. Despite
shortcuts in life, there will be people to please, protocols to adhere, staff
to manage along with the public as well. None of them will ever bother to
understand the work needed to be put in for this. I do.

Please never forget your experience and places you’ve been
before. As much as this is going to be another cash cow like the rest this is
also going to be a responsibility, a serious matter. So serious, that you can
make yourself or completely break yourself, so you better check yourself.

Of course, you know the people, the country is hungry for
success. You basically need to change breakfast from nasi lemak to avocado honey yoghurt toast. You need to change the teh tarik to water, you need to stop the
nicotine and start the education. You need to create the mindset so our
children’s children who will bear children who then possibly be world champions
and consistently after that. It’s a change and it takes generations before
results are seen. That is what the job specs for the position. Its long term
and if you have the short term plan then we all know you going to do an Oceans
11 on us.

Reality did hit me. I realise I sleep well at night knowing
that whatever I’ve earned and achieve is based on my own honest effort. I’m blessed
to get an opportunity in this life without the help of powerful people in power
positions and even without the guidance of my own father, may God bless his
soul.

The wish is for you read this and I hope you do. Just please
know that I know your capabilities, which is top of the class in our nation. I
will admit that. This is probably the best thing that can happen to our game
and I thank the Almighty for making it possible, although I was very reluctant
at first. God does work in mysterious ways and now he has put you under a
microscope.

Son, I will admit, I may not have achieved what you have and
if you want to call me a failure, go ahead. I have failed so many times in
trying to bring a change to the world not to mention the country but it has
never once brought me to decide to give up. Every time, I fail, I learn a
valuable lesson and it makes me stronger, wiser and braver. Every time you win,
you become sharper and sneakier and those around you have not experience what I
have and if you hurt them, I will hurt you.

Bravery is also something you own and life has been extremely
kind to you despite keeping an evil side well hidden. I for one trust my
intuition that you are not about to change as the saying goes you can’t teach
an old dog new tricks. You can’t look at anything without the dollar signs in
your eyes.

Understand I may be away from home but I would have never got
to where I am if I was there. You, ‘the family’, power and money would have
ensured I don’t come near you or kept at bay. The playground is definitely not
big enough for both of us.

To do what you want, what you need to do and what you have
to do are three different things. Time is ticking and the task is upon you. The
people do not and will not understand how to wait as you build and they will
only want to win and I know you too are a big fan of the short game. Again,
this is a 24/7/365 long term play.

Obviously, I will be watching and keeping an eye on things
but with you having everyone wrapped around your finger, smitten by the class
and cash I will be ready for the obstacles and the hurdles I will face. I’ve
been knocked down before so I’m not afraid of anything. I’m only afraid you
decide to rape our country. Not on my watch.

However, I don’t mind it the fight. I will fight for the
good and one day I know you will slip but I hope the game and the people win
before you go down. This is your chance to redeem yourself.

So much that you get a box of KFC for wasting your night at
The fourth team to make the tournament is Home United from Singapore.

Assisting Ghazoo Sports on ground in Makassar in ensuring a smooth coordination of the tournament for it's clients are Badiuzzaman Jamhari, managing director of football event company BolaBros and former FA Penang marketing manager, Zulfikar Amizan. The two are working closely in ensuring all requirements and request meet international standards.

Since 2013, this event is the fourth event involving and an A-League club to compete in international friendlies in Asia and vice versa by Ghazoo Sports. Previously working with Perth Glory and even Malaysian side Felda United during their pre-season visit to Australia.

Ghazoo Sports is keen to bridge the gap between the Asia especially ASEAN nations with Australian football to help grow the game.

Host PSM Makassar will be aiming to please their fans at the Andi Mattalatta Stadium but with Adelaide United first team in season right now, the club sent a strong squad mixed with experience and youth.

Part of the Reds' team will include 18-year-old Pacifique Niyongabire, who has impressed Adelaide United Head Coach, Marco Kurz, on numerous occasions this season, recently making his professional debut against A-League Champions, Sydney FC. Meanwhile, Thomas Strain has been very impressive since departing English Football League Championship club, Aston Villa.

Army FC on the other hand have deployed their strongest side for the tournament which offers prize money.
Before we share our findings from last year's survey ahead of the exciting M-League which kicks off next month, we would like to share the news a bit of Down Under may be coming Malaysia's way.

Perth Glory boss have been given the nod to take one A-League game to possibly Kuala Lumpur next season.

In short this means, Perth Glory could play Sydney FC or Adelaid United or Brisbane Roar or Melbourne City for points. Read full article HERE.

Nevertheless, if Malaysia is picked as the spot it wouldn't be the first time as Glory beat JDT 2-0 in Larkin in 2013 headed by then coach Alistair Edwards who currently is the Southern Tigers' Technical Director.
True to its name, they are just 3 buddies (Bad, Paul and Hadi) who, for the love of football became good friends during the university days. The friendship of 15 years which became a brotherhood recently turned into a business partnership in the hope of becoming organisers of the game.

Not everyone will be given the chance to do something they love for organisations they dream of working for, so to start something on their own is commendable.

"BolaBros was founded to realise our dreams by reflecting our strong passion in all aspects of football into organising exciting football events. And it has positively turned our friendship to a different level," Bad.

In a span of just 3 months they have successfully organised a few events and plan to go international with the following events plan.

Besides, Cahill being club-less, Liverpool smashing goals and 5 English teams in the Champions League knockout for the first time we were devastated by the news of Felda United being relegated, Mario Gomez was not paid his salary and Malaysian coach and his team quits the set up.

Must be a tough week but to make it interesting there is once again a glorified chit-chat session this Saturday with FAM's No 1.

Lets head to Mario's issue first
He won them medals, he knows the power he is up against but he decide to go ahead and fight the tsunami. Many FB post emerged minutes apart with many key and big names rebuking the claims but the fact still remains that the salary was not paid claim is still up all over the internet for Becks, Neville and Jorge Mendes to see. Question is when even the payslips were scanned and posted for the world to see can we know who stuffed this up please?

Who cant forget this legendary piece of work. Pix credit: FAM

Then lets move to the Professors decision to quit
Not about to defend a win-less record coach but no coach can motivate the team when a bigger power offers a 30k bonus to win. However, the one that was hand-picked for the job is also the one that quit. Wonder what advise he would give the next coach in the hot seat. We wonder too. TCH would be the best choice although why he was not chosen in the first place boggles me. Never with a single strand of hair out of place, the discipline as an assistant and a results as head coach should have been a no brainer decision but then again maybe there was a plan to cripple Kedah then.

Lest we forget. Pix by FAM

Response from the Fighters
Was not something you expect by a team called the Fighters. Apparently they did what was told but they will relish the Liga Premier challenge and try to get back in 2019. No pressure indeed as naturally they should win it easily.

Now comes the part where, fans and top tier FAM management go head to head in a chit chat waste of time session. The haters will attend and keep quiet and the questions thrown if reflecting the comments on the internet if could trigger HRH to go super saiyan on everyone once again. This is again not going to actively solve any problem but instead just another waste of time. Meeting club officials, meeting FAM staff I will accept as decent practice. Maybe group the grassroots coaches, or sports teachers in school whom are the first people to introduce the ball to the kids. Do we really think this meet the fans session is going to make a difference? If anything, have it online where the real keyboard warriors will be ready to reply and then let the comments shape the MINDSET. If you have to go tell me how you feel after it is done and please check Malaysia's FIFA ranking if it has moved up.

Meet and Greet is done with the players and coaches who the fans really want to see and hear from about the current game simply because they are only the PLAYERS and COACHES!

Changing the MINDSET is not forcing it down but by action. It is easier to plant a thought to the young kids in schools about what you want football to be instead of changing a grown adult's thinking.

Happy days indeed in Malaysia

The striker, who has rarely featured in Melbourne City new coach Warren Joyce's starting line up, has not said where he is going.

But he is determined to play regularly so that he can impress the as-yet unknown Socceroos coach enough to ensure he is on the plane to Russia for a tilt at his fourth World Cup.

The project, which is expected to cost between £75-£100m, will increase the capacity at Selhurst Park from 26,000 to more than 34,000, overhauling a stadium which has been the club’s home since 1924.

Chairman, Steve Parish, has said funds for next month’s transfer window are ring-fenced and will not be affected by the club’s determination to pursue an ambitious £100m redevelopment of Selhurst Park’s main stand.

Improved facilities for supporters with disabilities and a substantial increase in wheelchair spaces, making Selhurst Park compliant with Accessible Stadia Guidelines

A bigger pitch, increased from 101.5m x 68, to 105m x68m, making Selhurst Park compliant with UEFA regulations and eligible to host tournament football

Premium hospitality and entertainment facilities for more than 2,500 supporters, including a new Tunnel Club, and between 16-28 boxes, which will give members a unique vantage point as the players prepare for the match and conduct post-match interviews

I get that sometimes you have to crack the whip.
I get it.

But what I don't get is how this decision was weighed. Obviously, this was not something that popped up in the last minute, it has been brewing. This problem, the biggest of it's kind in the history of the game, was probably a decision made by the boss man to end the matter.

But boss man was not there, like he himself said, when the plan was introduced. However, someone very involved in it was and I believe, like all his other decisions, this is another embarrassing one.

So the Fighters, till press time, have not really pulled a big fuss over it, well hopefully not yet. In fact, they did as much as they could to get to 90 over percent. I get that it is not good enough when the passing mark was 100 percent. To punish for no show of audited accounts is actually a face-palm moment.

This is a club which is NOT state base. An actual football club. A bit about it's history - someone figured out another way to extract funds from the government's income column. The team was set up and fast it was named 'the money team' somewhat with a bottomless pit of funds. It's probably arguable as since 2007, FUFC has won more trophies than some teams if not equal to some who have been around for decades.

Then comes the almost 100 million artificial surface pitch with a decent scoreboard built in the middle of nowhere. That investment is obviously on the way to host inter-Felda tournament for years to come. Another waste of money is about to happen. I was sure having a purpose built stadium could have been a BIG tick for the license.

This is not a team who survived relegation, this is a team who finished third. You say that the two promoted teams are up on merit but you have completely gone back on your words when you relegated Felda on technicality. You, the enforcers on the new rule should have had a better plan to overcome this, knowing maybe sharing their running cost could be risky business.

But the best part is comparing how lenient you are compared to the Thais. The Thais would have dropped 2 divisions and we should be lucky we have you as CEO. The Thais were also in the final qualification round of the World Cup. Why aren't you comparing that? There are a few post around going about how a German, a Swiss and a few more clubs were relegated as well due to the 'modern football' problem. Are you comparing your football or the league management? If you going to compare the fine league management you have then at least the football outcome should be on par first, shouldn't it?

Now, another obvious one is killing the competition with taking out one of the best teams in the league. That just makes you look like a bully.

Thiago (in flight) slamming his face against a Felda player at Felda's stadium in Jengka

Look, business seemed to be as usual at Felda with signings but outgoing Perak's defender Thiago is probably regretting moving to Felda instead of to the team down the street, PKNP. If its a better pay package, then we know what is the solid defender's objective in life but in my experience players usually want to play in the bigger league as the first option but that's just my thoughts.

You had 3 years to figure this out and you failed. The club is collateral damage. It could have been Kedah or Perak but that could have been too political of a decision.

Season have not kicked off but already poor decisions.

Lets see when this becomes a precedent to another club wanting to move to down because of other reasons but instead fail to complete the license just so they look like a victim instead because you are not thinking ahead.

Jokes, bloody joke.

2023 Women World Cup bid ✔

A-League popularity (50-50 but I'l give it a) ✔

A growing women's semi pro league ✔

But the Football Federation Australia (FFA) is about to be intervened and taken over by FIFA because the FFA could not get their 'shit' (for a better word) together.

To keep the explanation simple for those who was not aware of what is going on here are some pointers:

Basically, the A-league is under the FFA.

A-League owners have been wanting a representative (just 1 rep) in the FFA board since a couple of years but have been turned down. by the FFA.

Today Nov 30, 2017, is the final day the FFA need to propose a new structure to all the stake holders and the club and member federations declined it via the Australia Professional Football Club Association (APFCA).

Speculation has gone up to Australia being dropped from the Russia despite qualifying if they go under FIFA's administration in which if the FFA is found having using the federal government assistance in any way.

Snippet of APFCA's priorities

Well it is interesting to see what happens as the FFA, who without the rep from APFCA, have accomplished what they have lets and how the clubs stand united against the federation in which they feel that they need to get a bigger piece of the pie and say.

What could happen in the short term as FIFA assist in setting up a new FFA regime is the A-League could be an independent body from the FA, the hiring of Ange Postecoglou's replacement among others.

But lets compare the clubs and member federations with the clubs and state FAs in Malaysia. Would they go against the system for their own rights or wait for handouts from an amazing TV deal which is set to be one of the best in the world ?

No, they will wait for money from FAM and State government and finish it before the season ends so they can ask for more next season. If they get 20 million a year in 5 years that amounts to 100 million but the club will still be broke without any assets to show on the first day of the 6th year.

1.75mil a month for the next 60 months to have the rights of the sponsorship rights of the league by a consortium led by big wigs but no similar sporting experience and we are all suppose to chant Merdeka three times!

I'm sorry but I disagree this was the best option to take and it ruined my sleep.

In fact, thinking about it now, after the outburst the other day, I can't help thinking it was a emotional decision that has be made due to self pressure and not the bigger picture.

If media agencies wanted to get into the football game why now? Why now? Something doesn't smell right but I'm not saying it is a dodgy deal. All due respect and as a media man myself, I understand their achievements. But, why can't we just hire a few experts for the job instead of trying to wave a magic wand all the time? But that's the Malaysian way. I hire you, you hire someone else and the buck is passed down, no one gets the work done and everyone can pass the excuse to the other guy for not performing but the guy who was suppose to do the job in the first place turns out to be the hero.

Also no hard feelings to my media mates in the Southern state but for this kind of annoucement please step up your questions. You are on the forefront of a battle and can be considered as a warrior. You need to get it right brothers and sisters.

Like many others who expressed their opinions, I may be looked at as a sulk but I have only disagreed and not given up. The little I can I offer in the grand scheme of things, I will, which means I will still do my part despite having my own take on things. I do agree the mentality has to change too but I don't see that happening upstairs who needs to first set an example. This announcement is a MP Silva saga part two in which it just has to do a little more work and it can be a 100% improvement when both deals are compared. Of course than you will be looked as a champion. To be honest, I expected a shake up in office not bringing in more help.

And if you are going to make a hundred million annoucement you may have wanted to be 'Google' ready for heaven's sake. This is 2017 mate. The people have their world in their fingertips.

As for the licensing matter, how will Burn and Chan Wing Hoong going to prepare this season ? Do they plan their squad around playing Super League sides or Premier League sides? Do they spend on players or grow another fine crop of players ? Do the management spend to grab ticket sales this season if they are in the Super League or let is slide another year in the Premier League ? Stadium, how is Perak Stadium going to be managed by both sides? You are already not doing this club any favour.

Yes he said he is happy to be in Super League, and who isn't and to be fair he was only a point behind when they finished third but what if Felda comes through and they are back in the Premier League ? Don't play mind games with teams please. There are rules and if a team is out so be it. Maybe play the Super League as it is, top 3 Premier League teams move up next season and done.

Happy or not, we don't know Pix by Asiana.my

And to my knowledge the guys working on the fixtures are about to find their underwear in a twist trying to figure out the scheduling if PKNP is in the Super League. May put in a month's break after first half of the season so they can figure out the second half.

Like mentioned earlier, ZERO thinking because thinking are only from the inner circle and there are no more tricks in the bag. In fact, it looked like there was not many to start with either. This all because Johor needed to get in seasons ago to campaign in the regional competition. And yes they won it and yes it got us points but you know how the culture in Malaysia is should have thought about the future then not patch problems now.

Ok, we need it (the licensing) AFC bla bla bla, FIFA bla bla bla but we did not massage it in the culture. Three years notice without active involvement and encouragement if not going to make any change. They would have went 'Do later later la - 3 years left, Do later later la 3 months left, Do later later la 3 weeks left, Do later later la 3 days left, Do later later la 3 hours left'. With 3 minutes left then they go OK lets have a look at it. Knowing this is the culture what was your proactive steps?

And just like that we are promoting and relegating teams. So what's the use of the bloody competition then ? Don't be the bully be the cool teacher all students will spend some money for an actual present like an original Malaysia jersey on Hari Guru.

Blaming the old president is always a good excuse but he checked out long time ago. The people in the main committee are still around though.

So yesterday you have passed the buck to an outsider to get you sponsors, tomorrow you are going to get a TV deal, JDT will win the ACL, the boys and their younger brothers are going to be Asian champions now to sit back and get recognised for the great work you have done. Bravo, well done! The only thing we have seen grow for the past 10 years or so

Will it be star legend Tim Cahill? Or outgoing coach Ange Postecoglou? Or would it be the CEO of the FFA? Wait or would it be Steve Lowry, chairman of the FFA ?

If you answered Lowry, fine, then I believe the blame may go to his father Frank for 'years of killing the game' as son Lowry has hardly had enough hands on the reins to be held responsible. Nonetheless, this is my opinion and football is a game of opinions.

But if you answered the coach or the best player, then why is the president of the Football Association of Malaysia apologising for the 4-1 defeat over North Korea last Friday??

How is it his fault ? Is a president's duties, include direct meddling of a squad or does a president govern the overall structure and future of the game ? If FAM's president insist he has to be held responsible then there is only one reason, to logically look at it, EVERYONE else is a sleeping!

FAM President HRH Tunku Ismail Idris Abdul Majid Abu Bakar Iskandar ibni Sultan Ibrahim Ismail
Tunku Mahkota Johor. File pix: asiana.my

Get rid of the coach, get the president a shirt and wrap the captain's armband and play for the country. Why for 95% of the time, we are only hearing from one man ? As a ruler he not only has other agendas on his list, but what are all this other great men in great committees there for?

If you are in a position within the organisation and if you are doing your job, very rarely should a federation president comment on matters besides structural but especially not on day to day matters. Here we have team managers, coaches and players all hiding behind a young passionate man, who has to take all the bullets sprayed at him. If the other way round, when the team does do well, credit should go to players and coaches and then president.

If the president wants to be hands on then someone has got to do his job. Someone has to think about the bigger picture. Grinding in the hours, working, directing and perfecting the future of the game by making sure the little things are done right and in the best interest of the game's growth.

Back to my disbelief,.. where are these committees and experts when HRH announced that Malaysia is looking at a 4th Division ?? Here we have the FMLLP not knowing how to look at a calendar and sell tickets but we are about to have a fourth tier ?? Was there anyone who objected this ? Did this idea go through a feasibility study ? Did the 5th import go through a feasibility study? Does anything go through a feasibility study ? Yes or course it will develop players but where and how are funding suppose to come from? What about continuity ? Coaches, support from schools and the community. Will it pay bills if someone invest their life into it? Are the corporate sector willing to come in? Amateur teams are already struggling to cope as they run on passion 99% of the time.

It is probably a wise decision to put on a condom before sleeping with your wife when you are struggling to feed 3 kids. For the sake of common sense, why can't we have an amazingly organised, promoted, TELEVISED top leagues and competitions first. Why can't we have a ranking inside 100 in the world, why can't we have our best hard working players overseas in big leagues, making us proud, 7 months again we were RM40 million in the red, why not get that up first, why can't we have a structured database of fans in Malaysia, why can't we have respect from the world first before we bring this other child in ? The 3 hungry kids need more attention now before they can share with their new born baby brother or sister.

Why? Because boss said so. That's it, end of story. No questioned asked.

I would have figured the CEO of FMLLP would have stopped Mr President with an not so in depth study of why we should not even bring up the topic of a fourth tier. Not showing the list of why it will not work but by presenting a list of what they need to urgently fix now!

If he is going to be the face and voice than it is as simple as advising him what is the best decision for the country. It is a simple as knowing what is what and giving your opinion when it matters. If your opinion is to go along with this time wasting, selfish plan to other existing clubs then we are only adding more headaches and heartaches and of course more interestingly witty comments on social media, when it does fall.

Of course it could work as well but at what expense? What are we doing so right that we can shift our focus to another league at this moment? What is then the Youth League and President Cup objectives?

Yes, this may be my opinion on the matter but let it be on the record that the president is the only one doing any work now. No one else has half the courage to initiate something let it be the right thing or not. If you are only following instructions ANYONE can do you job. You are not contributing to Malaysians then you should not received funding from Malaysians.

Have a little self respect and ask yourself if you are actually making a change or you are just in for the glamour of the job.

Also, whether a few Kedah players was paid off or not, what difference is it going to make ? There wont be a replay. FMLLP had never done enough to nip this damning habit anyways. Besides it is offside and the offices may be on a shutdown till 3 months into next season.

All top tier clubs are forced to follow the Club Licensing checklist but who is checking 'your' checklist ?

Improve your operation. Cut your cost. Work more efficiently. Promote the league. Increase the attendance. Assist the clubs. Do it again and again and again for years and decades.. Next CEO continues the legacy but the league can run on auto pilot. As boring it may seem it is at least a list of everything you are not doing at the moment.

Fine him, ok yes, big one of course, but this sopan santun cakap beradab is encouraged
but let there be a bit of a character when it comes being under the pump. It is ok to let some steam off once in while. We are only human. None are
exciting during interviews and you expect them to be boring after winning as
well. Side story: Anyone saw Patrice Evra went Bruce Lee over a fan before kick off?

Come on, live a little. Its ok
to be a bit out of line, especially after winning the final it’s no big deal
but it’s not ok at schools, work place, place of worship, pretty much everywhere
else. All factors has to be considered.

What is a big deal is we are
170th in the FIFA ranking, FMLLP does not know what they are doing, fans are
still being treated like foreign workers, need them but don't care about they well-being
and welfare and did I say FMLLP does not know what they are doing?
Legend
$ = E

Note: If you are a student and under parental guidance, please DO NOT misinterpret this article. Swearing and profanity is NOT acceptable in a civilised society. However, in this case Safiq, may have lost himself in the moment. The lesson learnt from this is to be ready for the moment to arrive but be prepared and disciplined to ensure you still have enough control over yourself to ensure you don't disappoint those who are looking up to you. However, if the moment gets the better of you like in this case, then it is not end of the world if your intentions are pure and truthful. True champions may master the art of control but they are all humans like you and me after all and mistakes can happen, it is only natural.
